Hey friends! I’m super excited to take you on a tour of our 5-year-old daughter’s bedroom today. She’s been dreaming of a princess-themed room, and we went all out to create something whimsical, with plenty of charming touches and room for her to grow. I love diving into decor projects, but it’s also important to keep things flexible for future updates as she gets older.

The first thing we tackled before moving in was painting the walls pink. We went with “Sulking Room Pink” by Farrow and Ball. I was a bit anxious it might be too dark (it sometimes looks almost brown depending on the light), but once the curtains and other decor were in place, it turned out perfect. It’s a rich, deep hue that beautifully balances all the other pink elements.
We scored this antique bed locally on Marketplace. The canopy is amazing quality and comes in several colors. We decided on an Immunity mattress (Cinnamon), and I’ll be reviewing it in a future post (spoiler alert—we’re loving it!).
For curtains, we went with Two Pages Curtains throughout the room (and our whole house!). They have this classic pleated look that I adore. I ordered a swatch book to help choose the colors, and it made such a difference. Highly recommend getting one if you’re trying to match curtains to painted walls.
Our daughter loves to draw, so we set up an art gallery wall in her room! It’s mostly her own artwork, and I’m excited to add more pieces and switch them out as time goes on.
Some Etsy art we included: a Julie Andrews Print and a piece from Janet Hill.
Before moving, I found this lovely antique vanity. She uses it to store all her makeup (I always give her my old ones during cleanouts, and she stashes them away—she’s obsessed!).

The bear rug from Etsy was the first purchase for her new room. It’s just so cute, charming, and cozy.
Here’s a little row of flea market art along with one of her photos from Disney. I love mixing antique gold frames with new ones—it adds such a special touch.
She’s always wanted a “real” tea set, so I started collecting blue china pieces to create a mix-and-match set for her. She spends hours arranging and rearranging her table—it’s so heartwarming to watch! The white table is new, but everything else is from flea markets.
Can’t you just taste that (pretend) tea and cakes?
Another touch I love is the vintage and antique light fixtures. This chandelier was an Etsy find. I discovered so many charming pieces there and at local flea markets, adding a lot of historic charm to the room. The matching sconces around her gallery wall are a lovely detail too.
We chose the Lila area rug for this space, and the toy box is a DIY project.
I was decorating while my daughters had a sleepover at my parents’ place. The moment she got back, she ran straight to her room and started adding her touches (even before I could take pictures). I think it’s so important to let kids get involved and personalize their spaces—they’ll love organizing their things in their unique way.
I’m so excited to keep adding to this room over time! We’re always on the lookout for little mermaid and princess items. It’s been so much fun.
